Parents of a child with a chronic illness face various challenges such as advocating for their child across the healthcare and education systems and being their child’s #1 decision maker. Although it may be difficult to open up to family and friends, establishing a support network is a possible solution to manage some of these challenges and remind parents they’re not alone.
